I'm writing tweets here man not essays. I've got 300 characters to make a witty comment, and simply put the basis of the USA's welfare state is the new deal not great society, with most of the critical aspects of GS being immediately defunded come Nixon and Regan.

I did say almost all, the great society programs of LBJ and Kennedy like food stamps in in that almost. Medicare/Medicaid were another though they were built off the Social Security framework and more a reaction to rising healthcare costs and a greater access to healthcare in general.

Not that FDR is the end of the political road, or that the new deal democrats excluding black peoples from it should be ignored, but man it is amazing how almost the entire american welfare state was built by FDR and it's just gone downhill from there.

A standard critique of human rights is rooted in how their proponents fail to discuss the necessary enforcement of those rights, how how that presupposes that such rights can be removed.
That sounds quite similar to the OP's Labor = No Rights meme, like they hear it once but didn't understand it.

As I said I have no interest in further litigating this, if you believe he is doing genocidal denial then I don't believe you should take him seriously on any issue much less say that you agree with him or are his comrade.

I apologize, it is not my intent to litigate this issue. My intent was not to argue with you or debate your intent. It was to explain in a less abrasive way BadEmpanada's opinion, he is an angry man and has interest in explaining himself so I have occasionally taken it on myself to explain him.

Ultimately I think if BE were to be a little calmer he would say to you, that obviously he supports Trans liberation, that he has never dismissed trans issues or downplayed them. That he understands the democrats, a genocidal fascist party which support a genocide aren't concerned with trans rights.

All BadEmpanada said was essentially that he didn't like her videos and thinks they're mostly aesthetics and not substance. Coming from him, someone who holds backing up work with citations and academic rigor as required I dont even think its unfair to say Contrapoints is not up to his standard.

In response you say that he implies trans issues are vapid and theoretical. As he sees it even as you support him, are trying to recenter or make a new conversation about how he must be careful with his words when calling out a person supporting genocide because he's not compassionate enough.

In her post defending her non-support of Palestine she made the point that not voting for Biden was attacking her. BE correctly says this is an extremely imperialist point of view, that she can only say because she holds her own comfort above people experiencing a genocide.

If the KPD had wanted to work with the SPD it wouldn't have mattered because the SPD did not want to work with the KPD. They were more willing to kill and suppress the left by working with the right to preserve their half of the revolution. Ignoring this reality is childish and in the end was fatal.

You criticized the KPD for not preparing for Nazism, saying they needed to build coalitions with Ebert because really he's not just as bad as Hitler. My friend, Ebert killed them. Is it relevant if he's not as bad, if not as bad can include mowing you down in the street.

Allowed Ebert to disband Freikorps, after they'd already murdered the leadership of the KPD? They'd already accomplished their purpose to kill any serious opposition to far right politics in Germany. Proven by the SPD conceding to the Nazis when they did eventually take power.

Nor did I say Hitler was inevitable, I said the SPD created the conditions leading to Hitler which is absolutely correct considering in the six years of SPD rule they did nothing except build coalitions with conservatives and fascists. And ultimately they failed to oppose him when the time came.
