What would you call it if not taking pride in a part of yourself?

I don't see "having pride" as meaning "making it the thing you treasure most about yourself" as it seems you take "pride" as meaning. I see it as meaning "I'm not ashamed of this trait about myself". Which shouldn't be a bad idea.
