Following up: it is absolutely fantastic. This is how I'm rolling up to every gathering this season.
A geeky person with red glasses and blue hair, wearing a tri-met themed sweater and holding a red-and-green vinyl record. The sweater has a smiling MAX train with two smiling buses next to it on white against a green background, with a few snowflakes. The Tillicum crossing bridge is below it. A red band around the bottom of the sweater has the trimet logo in the center and the zone icons (a salmon, snowflake, beaver, deer, and others) around it. The green background forms into mt hood near the collar. The record is "A Very Skatune Christmas".

I made these a few years back.
The magic card Sensei's Divining Top. It is a 1 mana artifact that lets you look at and rearrange the top three cards of your library for 1. You can tap it to draw a card and then put Sensei's Divining Top on top of the library. A custom magic card: Sensei's Divining Bottom. The art from Sensei's Divining Top has been flipped upside down. It is a 2 mana cost artifact that for 2 and tapping lets you look at the bottom three cards of your library, put one in your hand and the rest back, and then return Sensei's Divining Bottom to your hand. A custom magic card: Sensei's Divining Switch. The art from Sensei's Divining Top has been rotated on its side. A 3 cost artifact, for 1 you can look at the bottom three cards of your library, then put them on top in any order. You can tap it to draw a card and then put Sensei's Divining Switch on top of the library or back in hand.

The sudden urge to block print MTG tokens.
(Who am I kidding, this has been a backburner project for yeeeeeaaars...)

Thinking the style will be like my Game of Shrooms art... Unique watercolour with block print and ink lines on top...

And the cube fits in a cube, for reasons...
All the components nicely racked into the two sides of a wooden box. The wooden box, closed. It is a stained maple with shiny brass latches, handles, and corner hardware. It is a twelve inch cube.

Finally took a good picture of my Magpie Cube... @jdragsky.bsky.social as an update from all my random pings a year or so back...
A collection of components for playing a weird game of Magic. Some disks marked with different symbols, a book with a silver Magpie flying in front of the moon printed on it, two folios with illustrations of magpies (one wearing a jester cap and perched on a squeaky hammer, the other landing on a devilish hand emerging from a lava field), several envelopes printed with a Magpie design, several other envelopes with a Magpie and a golden sun, a glue stick, scissors, a small pile of cut-apart pieces of Magic cards, a little folio case with stickers of mana symbols and different abilities, a black box with Magpie skulls painted on the sides. Behind this spread are boxes containing more of the folios and envelopes, all backed by a wooden case with brass hardware.

Twas the night before #GameOfShrooms2025, and all through the lands, the artists were prepping their secret plans.
The pieces were done and laid out to admire, while fiendish clues spun from our brains all afire.
Eight watercolour and blockprint pieces of art, each a little bigger than a playing card, each with different colours and details, all arrayed and ready to be hidden around the town. The backs of the art, each with a tag reading "If you find me, take me home! Game Of Shrooms is an international art-and-seek. Post your find on social media with #GameOfShrooms2025"

This is such a great cause. The impact that TCC has is significant.
I have 15 "Protect Trans Kids" patches that I'd love to send out to donors. If you want in, reply or DM with a screen shot of your donation confirmation (no PII please). I'll randomly pick when the campaign ends and contact folks!
A 2.5" circular patch with a button loop, the edge is overstiched and the face has the trans flag stripes blue, pink, white, pink, blue, with the words "Protect Trans Kids" over the pink-white-pink stripes. The patch is in my palm to show scale, and behind it are several more patches scattered across a gamemat printed with Kaga Foglio's "Bottle Gnomes" illustration.

Okay, there's no spot here to set a phone up, so would have had someone take it. It's a public pathway, so he'd have to have waited for a clear spot in the constant foot traffic.

A spread of makeup, including Morphe's "love shines" palette, Darling Doll's "cyber babe" palette, two somewhat neutral lipsticks, a #4 Anastasia concealer, a basic neutrals Lancome palette, and a set of brushes. I realize that I don't know where my mascara went...

My "cheating" for wall mounts:
1. Measure, mark wood and wall.
2. Test fit.
3. Pre-drill wood: pilot and countersink.
4. Test fit, check align.
5. Insert screws through 1/8".
6. Fit to wall. Validate level and align.
7. Hearty whack near screws.
8. Voila! Marks for drilling pilot holes in the wall!

Holy shit, the footnotes in the liner!
Liner notes from Antimai, detailing terms and concepts in the societal structure of the world, like The Indigo Child, Bio-Pariah, Consistery, XCV, LoTown, Meka-Nik, along with some really interesting information regarding gender segregation in rings 6 and 7 as well as the govt structure in Ring 3.

Looking down into a crawlspace, the moisture barrier is visible under 16 inches of water. A thick hose is attached to a sump pump hard at work bringing the water level down.

Designing a game with my kiddo: "This game can be played with a standard deck of cards and stuff you have around the house."
Me: "I don't need to make custom components for it."
Me an hour later: "Welp, there's the art design for the custom deck of cards and here's a set of custom markers..."
A set of game tokens. Six rectangles that represent tunnels. Six inverted teardrops that look like plants. Eight diamonds with four-point stars. Ten circles that sorta look like lava.
