Hence why I hold my keys when locking and closing. My keys actually fell out of my pocket once when I stuck them in there as I was leaving onto the seat. That was a stressful 3 hours I never want to relive.

I don't even trust that. I usually lock the doors by hand and unlock using my key fob. I know that fob uses encryption, but unless I can update the firmware, always assume that encryption has been cracked. Not hard either to hold onto your keys, lock and close the door, then stick keys into pocket.

Try a touch screen that has no calibration option and responds to your "press" a half a screen away X(
