Got pranked by my neighbor's cat. I see this cat in the window of Pizza Luna frequently, and while coming home from my morning coffee walk he ran outside to get cuddles. He acted like he was accidentally left outside, meowing, and refused to walk through the gate. After 30 mins he just walks in.

and here's the relevant info about the whistles from the group in chicago that distributes them. i got mine in a whistle kit from Unión Migrante. also comes with a Know Your Rights card in English/Spanish.

Realized I'm only truly happy when I live in a walkable city area. My morning stroll to get coffee and a few small items to cook for the day triggers a small "task completed" endorphin rush. Suburb living always depressed me; driving everywhere is just the worst thing ever.

When i was a pre-teen, there were a bunch of landline based phone-in games that were advertised in our local paper. They were choose-your-own-adventure games where you chose an option after each part of the story. Anyone remember this? I believe it was called "Phone-A-Tale". Wizard Quest was one.

One of my favorite things when i DJ is when i tell someone i don't have internet and i can't play their song they requested. They usually stare, mouth agape, trying to figure out a solution in their drunken minds. No, I can't play Otis Redding at da club right now because you're about to leave.

Bonded with an old school goth friend of mine at the IAMX show last night...she modified her car to say "Takuro Spirit" as the model name, which is a Dark Tower deep cut. Needless to say I'm totally enamored now. It takes specific nerdy things to make my brain go all fuzzy.

Playing this Friday at Orleania Art Studios for their fall opening...I'll be in the Neon Museum area. Going to be a lot of fun, and we will probably go late in our little section :)
