I also didn't read the joke the same way you did, I think that's why a lot of people are criticizing you. But it is a valid concern, I can see why you saw that, even if I don't agree, I just think being antagonistic is going to draw more distaste for your opinion no matter what it is.

I'm going to be completely honest, I understand your concerns and people harassing you are in the wrong. I also understand that the creators of the show have a controversial past. But I think being antagonistic to people who like the show just in general is not a good idea, no matter your stance.
