Honours research project highlight: Investigating whether different wetland habitat types influence bird diversity. A few fieldwork photos, including this majestic cormorant, taken during recent observation surveys at RSPB reserves at Baron's Haugh, Loch Lomond and Lochwinnoch.

Honours research project highlight 4: The impact of food enrichment on the behaviour of captive laughing kookaburras, including a comparison of natural versus manufactured feeders. This is the first time that this type of research has been done with kookaburras!

Our second year students got some hands-on experience dissecting owl pellets and identifying their contents this week. This particular owl had a vole for breakfast!

The second years visited Amazonia to learn how to draw live animals and even get the chance to handle and meet some of them. The clear favourite was Bungo the Rainbow Boa!
