Welcome to my little corner of the sky! This is my personal list to help me remember the books I've listened to. And if I liked them or not. That said, I want to say "thank you" to the authors of ALL the books on my list. I try to post the books within a couple days of finishing them.
Seeker's Curse (Rogue Angel, Book 19) by Alex Archer. Good except for the last 30 minutes in which Annja fainted twice, all her friends and allies died, and she becomes a damsel in distress who requires rescuing. Maybe I should start a red shirt count? Annja dispatched at least 22 bad guys. 11:1.

A Game of Hearts and Heists (Girl Games, Book 1). The book had TWO epilogues! I am not an epilogue fan, especially when the epilogue is trying to fix your sucky ending. I don't know if I'll listen to the rest of the series.

Sacrifice (Rogue Angel, Book 18) by Alex Archer. Here we are in book 18 and Annja has yet to show any growth in confidence and good decision making. Stats = 7:1. 14 dispatches including a crocodile god. Although she wasn't knocked out by a blow to the head, she was made unconscious... twice....

Eternal Journey (Rogue Angel, Book 17) by Alex Archer. Most of the book was slow, however it did pick up near the end. Annja dispatched around 9 bad guys. She wasn't knocked out, but she did faint so I'm counting that. This makes a 9:1 body count to knockout ratio.

Polar Quest (Rogue Angel, Book 16) by Alex Archer. I did not like this book and the ending felt cheap. Annja got knocked out twice in this book. It's become an obnoxious theme for her to get knocked out. Her brain MRI scan must look like a cross between a prize fighter and an NFL player.

Heavens River (Bobiverse, Book 4) by Dennis E Taylor. This was my least favorite book in the series. It was slow and used Murphy's law to move the plot along. Also, when did Bob become so arrogant?

Clue Krewe (A Miss Fortune Mystery, Book 24) by Jana DeLeon. This was one of the better ones in the series. Fortune actually takes out one of the bad guys.

Emily Wilde's Compendium of Lost Tales (Book 3) by Heather Fawcett. I didn't like this book as much as I liked the first two books.

Wanted: Vampire's Assistant (Moonhaven Cove, Book 1) by Dusty Rose. It started out interesting but about 1/2 way through, it started sounding like a book written for middle schoolers even though the MC was in her mid-20s. I did not like the narrator either. I won't continue the series.

The Collapsing Empire (The Interdependency, Book 1) by John Scalzi. I liked that there was humor in this book. I'll continue listening to the series.

Dungeon Crawler Carl (Book 1) by Matt Dinniman. I enjoyed this book. It started off slow but when the cat began to talk, it got much better. That said, I don't know if I'll listen to the other books in the series.

Swamp Spirits (A Miss Fortune Mystery, Book 23) A cozy mystery. I thought this book was one of the better ones, but I wish the MC would "take out" the bad guys like she did in the first few books of the series.

Obsidian (Shadowbound Fae Book 1) by KF Breene. I was so excited for this book but the author made Daisy (who was a smart, confident, self-reliant, and funny in Demigods of San Francisco series) into a timid, lovesick, domestic violence victim.

Rogue Angel: Swordman's Legacy (Book 15) ⭐⭐ The writing for the MC is inconsistent. In one book she's a badass with a double digit body count, then in the next book, she's hesitant and suffers from double digit concussions.

Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands (Book 2) by Heather Fawcett. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was nice to have a FMC be confident in her ability.

Wanted (Legacy of Magic Book 7) by Lindsey Buroker. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was nice to see the MC grow.
