I have really mixed feelings today. I hate MAGA more than ever and feel defeated under the onslaught of Trumps authoritarian moves yet I am not ready to give up on this country. I still say #NoKings since that’s what #IndependenceDay is about.

Updates to Amazon Purchasing Terms Amazon has recently announced that, effective February 26, 2025, it will discontinue the "Download & Transfer via USB" feature for Kindle eBooks. This change means users will no longer be able to download copies of their purchased eBooks to a computer for manual transfer or backup purposes. Instead, content will only be accessible through Wi-Fi-enabled devices or Amazon's Kindle apps. This move has raised concerns among users about the ability to back up their purchases and the implications for ownership of digital content. In conjunction with this change, Amazon has updated its purchasing terms to clarify that when customers buy a Kindle eBook, they are purchasing a license to the content, not owning it outright. This distinction emphasizes that access to the content is subject to Amazon's terms and can be modified or revoked under certain circumstances. This has happened in the past when ‘purchased’ books disappeared from devices.
