Today is the first of the next round of court dates for the Frederick Four.

While we support them today, they want to remind everyone of why we’re here.

The flier states: On May 1, 2025, a May Day demonstration in Frederick, Maryland made its way down the streets of downtown to show support for our community members, neighbors, and friends being targeted by state violence. Police attacked and arrested four people, denying them medical care for their injuries. They now face trumped up charges that could result in fines, probation, and jail time. While the Frederick Four need our support to fight these charges, they did not want to lose sight of what brought them to the streets to begin with. This is why they marched... We face a complete asymmetrical power imbalance. Our opposition can overwhelm us on all fronts. They can overpower us, outspend us, and they own all the levers of power and control. So what can we do in the face of insurmountable odds. What can we hope to accomplish with a march or any single action? We march to be heard. We march to find the courage in ourselves that's been laying dormant. We march to learn comrade is not just a word, it's a survival strategy. We march to kindle the fire in our souls. May that fire keep us warm and light our path to victory• Our enemies are powerful, but they're also arrogant and make mistakes. On that day, when they stumble, if we are prepared to rely on each other, we can move like water and find that no power is unbeatable. So, until that day, we will march to get ready.
