most people hold a similar sentiment. so many meandering plot threads that ultimately kinda go nowhere. I still love the denise, nicky, and ben stuff tho. also I just finished all of twin peaks for the first time like two weeks ago as well, the return is crazy

theres plenty of abstraction in both its just laid on thicker in FWWM cuz its a 2 hour movie as opposed to a fully produced tv series. i'm curious as to what your thoughts are on the return

I can't tell if you're saying that as a dig on twin peaks or on FWWM. either way, I feel like the two need each other. I think it really just illustrates how different the world of twin peaks was when laura was still alive and for that reason it really enriches the text of the og show in my eyes
