Well said, as much as I would love to be back in my twenties I don’t envy what young people today will likely see in their lifetimes.

I am, I hope you are as well. I’ve been on an insane work schedule seven days a week for the last ten weeks. I’ve had three days off in all that time. Between that and dealing with my mother’s health issues it’s been hectic!

This narrative paints SWs solely as victims to be pitied, and further stigmatizes us & our work. Many SWs choose this work bc it feels empowering, aligns better with our capacities and values, bc it’s fun, bc it connects us with other humans, and a ton of other reasons.

There is a pervasive belief that if someone has ended up in the profession of sex work, it must be because they experienced sexual assault as a young person. While this might be true for some, it’s certainly not the case for all/most. (cont’d)
