true! the majority aren't malicious. but i think everyone carries the responsibility to be the best human they can be which includes working through trauma, developing social&communicational skills. but this is a much bigger discussion and im aware lots of ppl don't have the means to do that sadly.

So as a rule of thumb, when it comes to emotions, people probably get it. Some just decide to look the other way

I think we are really not that different from each other, like everyone.. sure we are unique, quirky and weird in our own ways but on a biological level, we are pretty much the same. There's very little chance we are going to experience anything groundbreaking physically or emotionally.

that's why it's important to try and really *see* people while they are going through something. really shift the focus to the unspoken ◡̈ (as far as everyone's okay with it ofc).

It's like a reverse affirmation - what is not articulated can easily feel like it is not there at all. Also, the shame while opening up comes from the uncertainty whether others will 'get us' because from our own perspective we are oftentimes alone experiencing whatever is troubling us.
March 8, 2025 at 2:21 PM
the 'not talking about it' is actually THE thing that makes it hard to talk about it because we never learned to look at and analyse these things properly and haven't developed a vocabulary early enough to express and describe them to others.
