Even ignoring that, if Cait did lead the hunt for Vander without Ambessa, it'd be to kill him. She wouldn't have ulterior motives like Ambessa, and so Vander would've been taken out and Singed wouldn't have had a chance. Also.. Ambessa is why Cait has SO much power now.

You forget the only reason Singed finally agreed to work with them was because Ambessa, on her own, was the one able to convince him since she was able to provide resources and help with his daughter. As she said, if he didn't go with her plan he'd stay in the dungeons.

Singed... who was allied with and led by Ambessa. Without her and her motivations leading the story, Singed would still be in Stillwater.

Without Ambessa, Viktor would've died in the commune...
