Being disabled isn’t always talked about openly — in business, accessibility, or daily life.

That’s why I started #SpoonieTableTruths 💙
A space to share the real, the hard, and the hopeful sides of disability — together.
Why do I always feel I need to be perfect online?

Is it just me?👀

On Dec 3 (International Day of Persons with Disabilities), I was denied an Uber ride after asking for help with my walker.
Since then: automated replies, a $20 credit, one missed call, and no real follow-up.
This was discrimination, not an “inconvenience.”
#Uber — you’ve got accessibility work to do

What #Disabled People Choose To Share (Or Not Share) About Their #Disabilities Is Always Their Choice

Disabled is not a bad word.

My mom always told me FD wasn’t something to be ashamed of.

Not my g-tube. Not my wobblyness. Not even my diapers.

Disability is part of who I am — like being a brunette.

I wouldn’t hide my hair color, so why would I hide my #disability?

Today's #SpoonieTableTruths

Ever get praised just for existing?
That’s inspiration porn.

Disabled people don’t exist to inspire others simply by living our lives. We’re just people—living, working, and being, like anyone else.

Has this happened to you?

The pressure to always post something “fresh” is exhausting.
Sometimes I run out of spoons. Sometimes I run out of ideas.
Sometimes… both.
