I definitely left NYC because of the income tax. My perm residence is now Long Island, and I *very carefully* monitor my presence in the city because it's A LOT of city tax. Anyone with a place in the Hamptons or Hudson Valley, ie the rich ppl we supposedly wanna tax, does the same if they can!

The fact that the author calls this "lazy and mechanical" belies the literal years spent working on these queries by teams of product, eng, clinicians, and UX teams ... We can ALWAYS do better but just because it's not user visible doesn't mean it's laziness that's the issue here.

Hotline feature, ranking treatments, video content blocks with stories of recovery and hope incl voices with lived experience. As well as using advanced LLMs for language understanding to catch these queries in 80+ languages. It's not content moderation. It's well designed ranking.

Hotline feature is NOT the only thing search does for suicide queries. There's ranking treatments for top results and web answers, and stories of recovery hope in video result blocks. We have clinicians and experts who've helped us design this very carefully. It's just not as user visible.

Chapter VII mandates force without needing host state consent. Even putting a res forward like that would put a nail in the coffin re US financing of the UN system forever, which is already close to collapse from this fiscal crisis.
