My in-laws’ live in his district and I can tell you from experience that many many people take the bus (for $8 one way so almost the congestion fee) because it’s only an hour and sure as hell better than driving most of the time.

Literally. I called his office in November to complain about there being no bus into the city from my in-laws’ place in his district (have to drive 15 minutes to a 1 hour bus to port authority) and I got sent a form email railing against congestion pricing that still said it was $15.
