Komissiopalkka, niin kaikki pitää yrittää. Ja edessä oleva kässäri pitää kans lukea läpi vaikka toisessa päässä yritettäs sanoa mitä tahansa. Eikös se näin yleensä mene?

I partially understand the situation though. I mean, being a goofy goober is fine.
But making or distributing content that has been age-gated elsewhere for years at this point? I can see why they want to expand their reach.
What I personally hate is the use of "one size fits all" approach.

I agree. Or at least should have some level of coordination or consideration that international services cannot most of the time fully follow only one entity. Since then we get this kind of conflicts.
Like they stated from Bluesky, they follow UK requirements, not any US requirements.

That could also be routing or ISP based issue. I've had situations where I've been placed elsewhere in my country or even into a neighboring country (would be equivalent to a different state in case of US) by entities like Google at times.

Can relate. Been in a situation where I go sleep at 10pm and wake up around 4 or 5am. Decent amount of sleep as such but would be much nicer to sleep until phone wake up at 9am like I used to. Going to sleep using logic doesn't help. I might go sleep at 3am and wake up anywhere from 7am to 2pm.

I would suggest approaching your government representatives as well, regardless of country, and pressure them to look into this and get something implemented on that level to try to prevent something like this in the future.

I was lucky enough to "only" having been engaged but I can relate. I've been carrying the feeling now for the last 14 years. At this point though, it's more an anger about the 500 euro she managed to scam from me.
