A 40 point player is almost literally the definition of a middle six player. Find me a 4th liner with 40 points.

Why does it matter if they are young or old when talking about the current year. Fact is, for this year alone, the Hawks should be better based off the talent they have.

Look at the rosters of San Jose and Columbus. Those are last place rosters. There is enough talent on this team to be at least out of the bottom five, which was the goal for this year. Hall, Teuvo, and Bertuzzi are not bottom six, they are middle six. The whole point being that they are all sucking.

Yeah but if you look at the actual roster, it is not a last place roster based off the historical production of the veterans. So the fact that they are in last place speaks to severe underperformance across the board. Not all of that was on Luke, but it's the most immediate change, the GM can make.
