It'd be real cool if we could focus on our material conditions being more unifying than ideological approaches. We're still behind inflation and the states feeling most of the pinch are.... red states. We need to lessen the burden felt by the working class.

I was curious and looked up the historical initial Jobs Reports from various sources to see if there was a trend in 2024 figures. Here's what I got. October is really pulling the trend down, but it makes you question about how long this party will go before everybody becomes concerned again.

As of 2023, Americans' views of the current economic conditions and outlook have been at all-time lows of -37, only beaten by 2008 and 2009. With tariffs on our largest trade partners in mind, I don't think the trend will likely improve in 2024.

I've wanted to post this, but for some reason I haven't.

The BLS had a spotlight on stats where 1 in 5 jobs jobs paid <$15/hr. These jobs were in 4 of the 5 largest occupations. In 22 states, jobs that paid <$15/hr made up more than a quarter of employment. In CO, it was 11.5%.

Here's something interesting I just came across.

61% of US adults own stocks through a retirement account like a 401k or individually. I wish it would break the two groups.

Only 29% are from Households with an annual income of less than $40k.
41% have a high school education or less.
