I have decided to take a step back in life to reflect and use my free time and few years ahead to restore this old walled garden on Rathlin island and re-open it as a vibrant haven.. I sat next to this gorgeous lady in tube this morning in London.. She made me laugh with sweet jokes, she made me pause.. Asked me to guess her age.. She is 85.. I asked what she learned in life.. She said ‘count your blessings’.. Thank you Cynthia Jacobs ❤️🙏

Small garden of edibles going very well indeed.. Lettuce, broccoli, carrots, strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, parsnips, thyme, bay leaves, blueberries and onions all thriving in wee space.. Young apple and pear tree in blossoms ❤️

Lamb marinated in Ras el hanout with yogurt, garlic, olive oil over night.. slow cooked for 4 hours and rested for 30mins.. along with roast vegetables.. bulgur rice cooked with peppers, tomato paste and onions.. yogurt and pickles. a North African/East Mediterranean Easter 😍

This year.. I managed to build my own raised bed and today planted a wide selection of edibles 😍 carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, brocoli, cucumbers, lettuce and some strawberries.. Green fingers crossed 🤞
