I had so much fun digitizing this issue of BADI! I was particularly intrigued by the special artist feature of Tokyo photographer Motoharu Goushi. His black and white photos are incredibly arresting.

I’m starting to debind another vintage issue! This time, I wanted to show both the cover and the contents page. As you can see the old issues were very long — sometimes over 700 pages! I have to choose what I want to scan. 😊 #バディ

I am not able to post this on Tumblr, but I really enjoy the VIDEO WORLD section of BADI magazine. It's always a teaser of sorts into the videos releasing from studios in Japan and some of the shots are just stunning. #バディ

I encountered a shiny Minior yesterday and before I could knock it low HP to get its shields down it killed itself with explosion. Even today I am still sad about it. 😭

I’m scanning through one of the issues today. One cool thing from the pre-Internet world: BADI ran a mailbox system where gay men could post their stats and interests, even a little bit about who they’re looking for.
