In the first days of a russian invasion into europe, the reaction wasn't "let's intervene to secure the best outcome", but instead: "let's wait and just hope that the russians can't actually conquer Ukraine" which only slowly evolved into "maybe we should start supporting Ukraine", same in Iran now

9/So what is Europe to do? Not this...It has to wake up and understand that an alternative international order is being put on the table. It is not based on rules but hierarchy and extraction. Tepid finger waging will lead to domination.

Trump’s appointees in the judiciary, military leadership loyally carrying out Trump’s illegal orders, ICE, the damage done by USAID cuts and DEI reversal: even if (big if) a model democrat will be elected president in 2028, (s)he cannot undo the damage. Europe has to stop dreaming and grow up. Fast.
