Observation & Contemplation through the lense of someone influenced by Taoist Literature
This is the first I've heard of Chinese origins for the Aladdin tale. I love the idea that this was a cross-polinated story.

Intriguing. I like this concept.

I get something a little different from each translation.
Stephen Mitchell is very approachable for English speakers, but I feel like too many liberties are taken
The Gia-Fu Feng & Jane English version might be my favorite
Hall and Ames' translation offers context, but feels stiff and academic

That looks interesting.

I feel like the "manifestations" might be specific information about the matter at hand.

There are many lenses, and you can sit with one, or switch back and forth like an opthalmologist.

Some examples might be:
What are the ecological implications?
How does this impact mental health?
Is there an economic impact?

Right now I think "Constantly with Intention" means picking a very specific lens or purpose for examining your world.

Putting your assumptions on pause can be a challenge & takes regular practice. When I'm having trouble with this, I start with opposites, then move sideways.
For example, How would someone who disagreed with me view this? Then, how would a kitten view this? How would the wind view this? etc...

"constantly empty" to me is a sort of "put your assumptions on pause" way of examining things. This can lead to noticing things your normal filters kept from your awareness.

To me this suggests 2 mutually beneficial ways of observing the world around and within you. There are more, but Taoism likes this dialect thing, so we'll go with it.
