After 4 years with an air popcorn popper, I bought a Behmor [ten years ago]. Still going strong.
It's a solid choice. It'll do an honest pound of coffee, and has great customer support should you ever need it.
I roast 350g batches = almost 300g roasted which fits nicely in a quart mason jar.

My Purple Poppy Mallow and Bush's Poppy Mallow (both native to the upper Midwest) add a beautiful splash of color to the mix for passersby. 👍

Crumpled aluminum foil can remove modest rust.

If that doesn't work, a rust neutralizer is a reasonable next step. My Gen 3 had similar in its drip tray. I got most of it.
