A lot of the artwork in the space looks so similar. People are talented ,yes. But we have an over emphasis on the digipaint area (2000-2005) and not the mid 80s or early 90s OVA era. But then again I'm old and yelling at clouds.

Oh its much more ironic than that. Lizzie Magie had her game stolen by Charles Darrow who renamed it to monopoly sold it to Parker Brothers, then she got a "go away" payment of 500 bucks. Then never got credit till after she died. So her creative monopoly was infringed , twice.

I think, instead of saying "indies only, no AAA", how about we start demanding more from the ones we got. If a AA company is doing good work we get the damn word out so they can take a slot.

Honestly I am pretty sure this is why so many channels of people playing some sort of table top game have become popular. People who just like seeing a friend group playing games cannot be that small of an audience. I mean thats one of the reasons I watch Commander at Home. The Banter!

Honestly there are a few games where I go "that is way too difficult but it looks really cool" so that's why I got into Warhammer lore. Nothing against the game itself, but getting people together, the price of the models, and the skill needed to paint them well. Yeah, Lore please. Way easier.
