you can run blender as a command-line only program and run blender python scripts, but it wouldn’t be exactly the same as houdini engine can produce live meshes without any assets needed, while with the blender approach you’d need to export from blender and reimport to the engine

you may have to force the region to be ‘VIEW 3D’ before you call the knife operator, I’ve had to do that to edit meshes in the past

looks like you gotta change the context region and set the mesh you’re knife projecting to edit mode (idk if you’re using python or this is a geonodes bug)
