Just finished reading Kiran Desai's The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny, great writing, kind of a romcon, check out the online reviews. One of Obama's favorite books! Sonia and Sunny are Indians living/working in the U.S., their families in India try to arrange a marriage. Lots of great characters.
