Maybe it can be censored but re-included? Maybe delete the "this is gas" line? The scene made it very clear that Gas isn't a toy anyway. Not trying to be hostile or anything. I just really think this should be re-considered 24+ years later considering how great it is.

Personally I really don't think it's out of Spongebob's scope. The health inspector episode had them poison him over something, and then try to hide his body when they realized tbeir mistake.
I assume this scene it's just an old network decision considering it's still in some other countries.

To be fair though, there was a whole episode about Mr. Krabs trying to murder Squidward to sell his art. Dying for pie involved the idea of ingesting bombs, and the town blowing up at the end. I feel like Spongebob has an endless list here.
