Finally reading Morgan Ames's book about One Laptop per Child, The Charisma Machine. Charismatic technology is such a great term.

Because the kinetic temperature of a gas depends on the velocities of its constituent molecules, the demon's actions cause one chamber to warm up and the other to cool down. This would decrease the total entropy of the system, seemingly without applying any work, thereby violating the second law of thermodynamics.

Unlike many academic and even political debates, those over the politics of the digital are conducted between one side that directly represents the interests of existing and new businesses and the accumulation of capital more generally; the *other" side consists of academics and other writers who believe the ideas at issue are fundamentally questionable. Further, nonprofits like the Mozilla Foundation and the Open Society Foundation- to say nothing of NGOs with explicit tech-lobbying roots like EFF, CDT, and the parts of ACLU that focus on digital technology (see Franks 2019a), which on the surface looks as if it could not possibly be pro-business provide critical propagandistic power for the unfettered development of technology. For contrast, truly pro-regulation and pro-democracy NGOs like the Electronic Privacy and Information Center tend to promote much more skeptical and well-considered platforms but receive much less attention than do the others.

I'm disappointed. There was no tech bias element in Werewolf Lawyer like the Storygraph AI said there would be. Instead, it was just a high-stakes, can't-put-it-down legal thriller about a lawyer defending a werewolf in murder trial.

Another post shows images of words people had drawn on the side of a dirty Cybertruck with their fingers, which included “KYS [Kill Yourself],” “Cyber Chode,” “CUCK,” and two different penises, one of which was hairy and ejaculating. The owner of the Cybertruck posted videos taken by his Cybertruck that showed two snowboarders scrawling the art on the truck. A photo posted by the owner after “two washes” showed that one of the penises faintly remained on the car. Another commenter showed that someone had similarly written “SELL THIS” on the side of his dirty Cybertruck, while another posted a screengrab of a man spraying shaving cream on his Cybertruck. Photo of the back of a Tesla Cybertruck in a snowy environment. Someone used their finger to write and draw pictures on the tailgate. Yiu can seer "CUCK" and "cyber chode" as well as an ejaculating penis (complete with vein and hair on one of the testicles).

Interesting article on 404 Media about posts on a Facebook group for cybertruck owners.
Not every post in the group is about people hating Cybertrucks or Elon. Many of them are image posts of people showing off vinyl wraps they have put on their Cybertrucks, while others are videos of random people taking photos with the cars or who are curious. One member posted a video of Mennonite men who just happened to be glancing at the car. Another posted a video of a clearly identifiable man who just happened to be walking by and turned to look at a parked Cybertruck. One Cybertruck owner posted a video of a mother and her two young children taking a photo in front of the truck. “Does this seem suspicious to anyone?” they said.

A great HubSpot feature I use is to set up email notifications for when a workflow automation hits an error. In the workflow settings section, click turn on the switch that says "Get notified when this workflow needs review." You can send emil notifications to individuals or teams!
