Choose 20 female authors whose work you admire. One author per day for 20 days, in no particular order.

Day 15 - Mieko Kawakami

Feeling whimsical today. Kawakami is both a singer and a writer, and reading her feels like stepping into a Studio Ghibli movie.

I started it because bestseller lists never quite hit. What if readers could search by mood, vibe, or premise instead?

Day 06 - Elena Ferrante

We don't know for sure, but I believe Ferrante is a female author because of the way she writes about girlhood.

This week, countries across Europe commemorate the end of World War II.

I've always wanted to read more about women's roles and perspectives in war, the nurses, spies, and codebreakers.

And here’s what I found: open.substack.com/pub/ziluapp/...

Everyone’s talking about James by Percival Everett after the Pulitzer win, but what about Telephone?

I didn’t realize there are multiple versions, each with a different ending (!!). Mine felt… redemptive. There’s grief and guilt, but also connection and quiet acts of care.

How was yours? #booksky

The book I recommended the most this year.

Exit Interview: The Life and Death of My Ambitious Career by Kristi Coulter, required reading for every tech girlie who’s been “one of the few” in the room.

Some books just need to marinate. You buy them but don't read right away. Sometimes it takes weeks, months, or even years before the timing feels right to crack one open.
