Will they turn back to the pre 2025 system? Or will they rationalise large parts of the system trump leaves behind? Thats more or less what happened last time.

The US has a gestapo kidnapping people of the streets! There is no stomach amongst democrats for liberalising the immigration system!
November 19, 2025 at 8:02 AM
But the US already as the blood and soil regime?

Does Matt Y support rolling coal?
November 19, 2025 at 2:52 AM
He doesn't seem to know much of anything about politics outside of the U.S.

I'm just saying that the american form of suburbs comes in large parts from the wealth of americans. They could afford larger houses and more cars then others and therefor there was more sprawl. People liked it and a lot of them still do.
November 19, 2025 at 2:42 AM
None but i was maybe in an unclear way talking about the post war suburbanisation of europe. It made urban housing cheaper, for a time but people still wanted to move to the suburbs.
November 19, 2025 at 1:36 AM
A significant amount of european cities?
November 19, 2025 at 1:30 AM
They can just vote in the other guy
November 19, 2025 at 1:03 AM
No but my view is simply that american surburb look like they do because of thats what people wanted. To orientate any social policy you need popular consent.
November 19, 2025 at 1:00 AM
Americans are richer and built cheap so they can live in larger houses with bigger yards. European suburbunites also like big houses. If people could choose between an american and european suburb loads would choose the american.
November 19, 2025 at 12:51 AM
They are still suburbs and loads of people prefer them even when walkable cities are an option.
November 19, 2025 at 12:42 AM
Every industrialised country built massive suburbs at the same time.

This makes me wonder what are other examples of comedians that once had "it" but we think of as mediocre

Birth rates are falling everywhere. Even with immigration you would run out of immigrants in the end.

I see a lot of wishful thinking here about the cause of the Danish social democrats electoral problems.
November 18, 2025 at 5:54 PM
I my view is that english speaking countries tend to be slightly more liberal on immigration simply because immigrants are more likely to know or quickly learn english when immigrating then Danish, Icelandic, German etc.
November 18, 2025 at 2:45 PM
The danish social democrats have had a pretty successful decade after adopting these policies.
November 18, 2025 at 2:37 PM
My sense is this dynamic will lead to the death of the right to asylum in international law.
November 18, 2025 at 1:34 PM
It's in line with developments in the nordic countries where social democrats have adopted harsh immigration policies. It has been electoraly successful. But the differences in the electoral system complicates it.
