Hoping someone can clarify something for me: when did “validation” become an extension of being “polite”?

Have you been doing troubleshooting at the start of streams that includes going offline and coming back online? If that’s the case, my guess is you got pinged for daily live streams.

I feel like a lot of them can be answered with “they cast lumberjacks”

I think his point is that astro-turfing has proven to be effective propaganda and the number of people that support Trump (or anyone for that matter) cannot be reliably measured by internet or tv activity

How many bot accounts do you think it would take to create this sort of effect?

This is what it’s gonna look like when bots are trying to post AI slop but need better prompts.

The best thing about a declining population is all the companies that will just disappear because they ran out of ideas on how to increase profit from the same 250 million users 2 years an a row.

We are becoming old people

Is this the next evolution of gaslighting? Get your fans to hunt for non-existent edits? Or maybe you mean it but were gaslit yourself.

I have a Huion I like; 1440p, works with windows, Mac (including m-series CPU’s), and Linux.

So just to be sure I understand: you’re saying that the issue with pseudoscientists is that they do not see the value in labwork or fieldwork. They believe that anything you can gain from physical, tactile, get your hands dirty, activity can also be gained through text and word of mouth?

Idk. I see the correlation but I don’t agree with it and think it’s an over reaction.

Joel, I know you’re probably done with this but I’m baffled, flummoxed; and if I cannot scratch this itch, I’ll also be bamboozled.

The existence of “good genes” would imply the existence of “bad genes”, wouldn’t it? Otherwise there are only “genes” without distinction.

Scrolled too fast and thought this was an announcement about “Sounds goodish” and that I was looking at part of a fretboard or something. Scrolled back up to double check. Sad now.

Okay, but what if the game calls you a baby when it does it? “Engaging baby mode”

“And when will you finish the hyper loop? Or the brain chip? Oh wait, didn’t you have a solar power company, too: Something-city?

…What was your New Year’s resolution and how’s that going?”

Is it the “I watched Bob Dylan up on stage: who the fuck are you”-guy?

Fair.

The advantage. If we toss the 1 man vs 1 wolf aside; in reality wolves hunt in packs and confronted with a pack I suspect the human is screwed.
May 7, 2025 at 4:28 PM
It would take to end a humans life. People don’t typically die from losing a finger or two. Assuming the wolf didn’t immediately get hold of a persons neck; a person can thumb out the wolf’s eyes before the wolf could kill them. Assuming the wolf still felt like going after that the human has (2/x)

So I feel like you’re baiting me into an argument; and if so you succeeded. I’ve seen a wolf next to a person. I’ve also seen delivery drivers pee themselves getting chased by pomeranians. Humans have thumbs, arms, and brains. I think people are underestimating the amount of time/damage it (1/X)
May 7, 2025 at 4:21 PM
I’ve been in two separate IRL arguments about the potential for one, unarmed, adult human to win a fight if attacked by a wolf. Both times the opposing argument devolved into “no, it’s a wolf”. I, still, cannot reconcile this position in my mind.

Nope; went right over my head. I just thought it was a goofy story about the virality of mouse trap videos; told in a very hyperbolic way. Any chance you have a metaphor for easing someone away from mousetrap videos?

At least he’s not doing how-to videos about the industry he’s no longer part of? I guess?
