The leadership of the Democrats message to the American people, "We can only act to stop Trump when it is too late."
November 11, 2025 at 6:16 PM
Congress Democrats say that as the minority they can nothing, until Trump destroys US democracy, at which point they will not be able to do anything. When is enough enough?

1/ But I think it’s becoming clearer and clearer to many Americans what’s going on. The problem is fascism and dictatorship, and the regime went over its skis. So that’s where I see the hope here, that I think they went too fast.

The Democrat leadership will wait until Trump has built the gun to blow off the head of American democracy and then ask him politely not to pull the trigger. They have blinkered themselves to the danger. When the blinkers are torn off by events it will be too late to avert a bloody disaster.

Excellent question. I would like to know is anyone is drafting a contingency plan for Trump corrupting elections? The forces behind Trump are 40 years of a right wing project to kill democracy, and record levels of wealth and associated debt to protect.

The man who wants to "Make America Great Again" does not care about actual Americans, which is why the next election will not be free and will not be fair.

Real reason is Trump-MAGA was enabled to take over GOP and the federal govt, by the people whose wealth is the the private, corporate and public debt of US, which as %GDP is again at 1930 levels. Trump is a huge con, which means free and fair elections are over, unless we all stand up now..

1/ Effect of income inequality on belief in ethno-nationalism for different incomes groups. Income inequality is the major factor in driving ethno-nationalism, which then connects to far-right voting.

Trump and Hungary's Orban are similar in their paths to autocratic power, but Trump is far more dangerous. Why rage of the constructive kind - rather than random violence - is the only attitude which will lead to the actions that will dislodge him.

We will continue to underestimate what is going on, because the forces behind Trump-MAGA are not recognized by the Trump opposition. 1. The mechanism= Record US inequality→widespread status anxiety → ethno-nationalism →far-right voting.

Why is US democracy on the critical list?
October 9, 2025 at 11:19 PM
8/ Instead of reform we now have Trump's charge towards far-right ethno-nationalist (fka fascist) autocracy.
Why is it different this time? The patient has been sick before, but why is it so sick now? What are your thoughts, analysis, knowledge, ideas?

1/ Older political academics hold to the long established connection that democracy comes with economic development. That the cart comes with the horse. This notion underpinned Western democracies being comfortable with profitable relationships with dictatorships running

2/ "is whether enough of us will choose to stand up, to act, and to reclaim what generations before us fought and bled to pass along, like the citizens of those countries listed above have done in the recent past."

1/ Trump is already planning to corrupt the mid term elections in 15 months time, according to US today and the Brennan Center:

"The DOJ is out of the civil rights business. Now its officials making demands, with not-so-veiled threats, for data from state

If there are free and fair elections? Trump-MAGA is driven by the super-wealthy defending levels of inequality not seen since 1930s, Trump has been put there to stop a modern New Deal. Trump has the power to disrupt elections 2026 & 2028, he will use it. The opposition looks myopic to me.
