Corporations like to pretend they don’t know what AI is doing so that they don’t have to be responsible for it

Most execs have no idea how algorithms work. But they 100% told an engineer to have it maximize hours watched or links clicked or projected lifetime advertising value

The rot is theirs

I could avoid hitting other candidates, at least for a minute

But my platform for mayor is “no landlords” and it seems likely landlords would bring their notorious violence even if I withheld mine

Can we vote to have shorter hours in winter days, like when clocks were new?

Why do we all re-label our clocks and then rearrange our whole lives to match? This is the demand of an imperial madman

Time is a fundamentally local phenomenon, and not subject to hierarchical control

Many people won’t make any useful changes to their plan when you share limitations. Sometimes they fear adaptation of both their story and their behavior

I don’t say this cynically, just as a story about how allistic people might react to things like carefully expressed limitations: not effectively

“I have a memory disability” and if that isn’t sufficient I add ”and I likely won’t remember even meeting you”

It sometimes makes people upset; I am all out of fucks about it. I’m not competing. They are uncomfortable and hoping for relief as they assert a familiar-but-inaccurate story

Also the destruction of public transit & the enormous subsidizes we give cars in urban spaces seem relevant

Imagine if you could go downtown and be someplace nice for humans and not just in the alley between cars and other hard infrastructure?

We have to imagine something better if we want it back

Or just “rent-seeking segregation make downtown bad”

Until very recently people lived and worked in the same neighborhood — a mixed income neighborhood. The decision to make everyone work in one place and live in another (segregated) place seems like the root cause of a failing downtown

Any loft with 4 trans people living in it

“Not enough” sounds like imperial self-monitoring

The revolution starts at home (brain)

Do not comply in advance

At this corner cops were demanding that a White woman be allowed to quiz entrants — to 4th Ave and City Hall —about their church membership. This person denied access to anyone deemed unfit

I am unclear what sort of event permit might make it lawful to deny building access on the basis of religion

*Or so one might guess, based on their 3/4 length pants and porn stash

If it’s not a costume I appreciate this person clearly identifying as an asshole in their personal life. That’s a choice many are not brave enough to make and I respect them for it

Correct. We need to deal with the feelings

But our society refuses to respond to many of the pains in our lives. It demand our silence in addition to our suffering

We can’t improve public health with facts until we can admit that we are suppressing public health

Sad is cold

But how will our overlords properly control us — how will they ever be satisfied — if we do not adhere our bodies to their imperial calendar?

Why would our human world be adapted to our human needs and schedules, when there is a carefully documented calendar that could dictate our daily lives?

Train a model/construct a ruleset to filter it for you. Computers are dumb but willing to drown in your email if you feed them
