Thankfully your project is drywall, that gives you options. Do you mud/texture it yourself? I haven't tried that yet. You did a great job getting that cut close!

You are doing good work! I had a scenario where I installed a bathroom vanity top and the wall (new wall) was not flush with the top, a big gap. My only option was caulk. I couldn't shim the wall out, bugs me to this day. Welcome to my Ted Talk. You are a perfectionist!
