This is my reaction as well, but according to the “experts” in Subaru everything is fine and it is my fault to leave the light on.

The dealer said everything is fine, but I had to replace the battery in a few months. For sure the issue is bigger and the light was just the last push. I have to find a competent electrician to check the leaks.

I have Subaru Outback 2021. The trunk light was accidentally turned on. After two nights the battery was completely drained.
