Some rando, now reaching for the blue sky
For the Kingdom management stuff, I built an University. You can even take tests lol. Mr S looking swagger in that chair.

Really hard not to love the map design in this game. Each town has their own vibe.

Just like games like Baldur's Gate and Kingmaker, you select points in the world map that could lead to an exploration area, said exploration area could lead to other towns or dungeons. There's also city maps for main cities and things like that. It's kinda funny to get this feeling from a JRPG

I was half joking when I said Romancing SaGa 2 reminded me of Kingmaker, mostly because of the kingdom management stuff. But the more I play it, the more I think they are alike. Even the map traveling in this game reminds me of how exploration works on Kingmaker/CRPG's

Got my first game over screen in Revenge of the Seven and I'm taking a moment to appreciate something neat this game does. Romancing SaGa 2 has a mechanic called inheritance where you inherit your trained stats to your successor when your MC reaches a time skip, when you abdicate or when your die.

It also has a kind of FFXIV/Crystal Chronicles vibe with those dungeon intros, all they're missing is the eerie narration from CC. This boss in particular reminded me of one of those early FFXIV dungeons where you fight the mind flayer at the end, I almost felt I was playing that game for a moment.

This game is the anime version of Pathfinder: Kingmaker

It was on sale and I haven't played a SaGa game in a while.

Been watching the new Digimon, man we're going through Digimon renaissance or what? The new game did great and this new show honestly rocks. I love the lizard's vibe, he's so dumb but fun.

Finally finished Shadowrun returns. I tried to play it years ago, but dropped it along the way. Really fascinating setting, I remember getting deep into the lore back when I played Dragonfall and loving it.

Silent Witch ended, it was an enjoyable watch. I hope they announce a second season eventually, I might even try to get into the novels. I really liked the characters.

Felix is a non-asshole version of Chester.

I was in 9th grade when I first listened to this album. Today more relevant than ever.

I will say this. Back in the day I was reeeeaaaally into an online game called Ragnarok online. When I first discovered Ys/Trails part of the reason why they first got my attention was because their looks reminded me a lot of RO. At first I always saw them as what a RO JRPG would look like.

I absolutely loved most of the cast of the first game, they all had something compelling about them, except perhaps the warrior dude and the cleric girl. Octopath 2 might as well only have Castti, because the rest of the characters I'm just not feeling them.
August 9, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Octopath 2 has become a game I enjoy watching the story of, in part, as some of the stories are starting to get interesting, but is definitely not a game I'm enjoying to play, if that makes sense.

It's been a long time since I've finished reading a whole book, and it's a bit embarrassing that it took me this long to read such a short one, but I have finished the first of the books of Earthsea, A wizard of Earthsea.

I'm going to be so sad when silent witch ends. Every episode is just as good or better than the previous one, and every new character that appears is just so wholesome.

I'm planning to get some deckboxes eventually for each character's deck and components, but for now, I got so many baggies with the sleeves I ordered, I decided to put them to good use.

There's something therapeutic about sleeving cards while doing work. I don't like the feeling of sleeved cards, the plastic-y sensation makes me queasy, but I want to take good care of these components.

Inventorying this thing was a bitch and a half, so many components I was getting anxious to have missing pieces. But punching out the cardboard and organizing the insert once everything was accounted for gave me the brain tickles

Years later, someone decided to bring back the franchise from the grave. But now, instead of the mini's war game, they turned it into a board game, completely changing the gameplay into something very different and also very unique.

Once upon a time, there was this neat little game that you played with figurines called Mage Knight. It had a cool concept where the base of the figures had a "clicky" dial that showed the figure's stats, like movement, attack and life. It was very cool, but not very popular so it got discontinued.

I'm 2 episodes in with Secrets of the Silent Witch and what a delightful watch it has been. The show conveys so much warmth, Monica is adorable and the rest of the cast is also very charming.

Told you I was excited for Tuesday. Hard to put into words how happy it makes me to finally have this book in my hands.
