i agree! but new devs coming in, choosing what framework to use while they learn, are seeing solid as “underdeveloped” cause they don’t see the libs and the meta framework to support it, and professional devs are sticking to what they know or switching to one that has all the tools they need

afaik they mainly are in the US, BUT they do operate in other countries!! see transitapp.com/region

also the GO feature is still my fave! activate GPS while on the train so others can get an accurate time of arrival, and you see how many used the app looking at the same route so you feel helpful and incentivize to do live sharing of a public service!

one thing i do miss about using public transit during my uni years is the Transit app, and i’m glad to see it has gotten a glow up since then!

shoutout to transit prices!
i had to buy this train’s ticket day of for $8 one way, but bought my longer train tickets for $55 each way last week. if i bought plane tickets instead, it would’ve been $1k per way!

(also i ain’t flying with the shutdown and ATCs overworked and leaving, v dangerous!)

i think it’s mainly because of the lack of a 1.0 full stack solution and i personally have not seen a lot of community enthusiasm

like we all know the benefits of solid, but other than two people + ryan, i haven’t seen much in terms of libs or production apps to point to

i could be blind to it tho
