My dad born in 1919 was Staff Sergeant WWII Pacific theater. What happened on the 5th would have broken his heart.

From high school dance November 22, 1963. My 16th birthday & day of JFK's assassination. Me in hat. Was a very sad day. School admin okayed dance (already planned) so students could process the death of a POTUS together.
