Don't get me wrong, I still had to pay a hefty sum. But in the condition it's in I would've normally paid at least twice the amount.
This juggernaut of a card is at least top 3 Sugimori artworks imo. Absolutely stunning. My Magikarp finally isn't alone anymore

There was a very short-lived one in the US by Upper Deck (that also distributed Yugioh in its early days) Though it only ran for 2 sets and was immediately discontinued from what I could gather.
Unlike Japan where there've been like several CCS related card sets over the years.

Basically a Pokemon encyclopedia illustrating their behavior, how they live in their habitat, how certain species interact with one another and a lot more. Super charming to flip through.
It also has furigana so I can actually read it

I now fully understand why Takano Fumiko is such an important and well-regarded mangaka.
