One add, if you do feel you want to tell them you love them, honestly, you should do it. Time is finite and fleeting, and you never really know what can happen in life. Say what you feel while you can and have the chance to do so because you never know when the opportunity may no longer be there.

And yes I know a lot of what was said is very similarly applied to someone you're in a partnership with and romantically involved with. But truthfully a lot of these things apply to any relationship. It's you and whom you connect with that define and create the foundation of the connection afterall

have an honest willingness to work things out in tough moments. It wont always be perfect, or easy. At times it might not work out...
Have true intentions, a willingness to put in honest effort and the right connections will understand. You might even become comfy enough to say you love them too. 🤗

The fear of closer connection though is very valid, it's something we all crave even in a non romantic sense. There are so many ways to say you love a friend just by the way you show up and how you communicate. These simple everyday->

Though there are also other ways to say you love them without directly saying those words. Your actions you take towards them, lending a hand when /if you can, giving hugs when you see them. Little things like checking in, asking about how they've been doing and feeling lately. Lending your ear ->

Truthfully it can be scary to say to friends. Especially ones you really care about. You really leave yourself open and vulnerable, pretty much giving them a part of yourself with your trust hoping their hands are able to hold it and wont drop it. It can hurt like heck if they pull away after. ->
