I keep seeing this argument - what's the issue?
Keeping kids safe from traffic? They shouldn't be standing right on the edge of the road.
From predators? There are currently places where kids wait in the dark for part of the year - how common are kidnappings in those? I doubt there's a difference.

I'm not "smug". I'm frustated that the DNC keeps dropping the ball and refusing to learn any lessons from it.
You don't always get good choices, but maybe if Dems had offered a BETTER choice they might have won.

I'm not sure if I'm nuts, but every person there seems to have a face that's a bit off.

Well said! I've heard the claim that Harris ONLY lost because she's a Black woman. Both her "Biden but more 'centrist'" platform and her messaging couldn't be improved.
Frankly, if that's the takeaway people have, I think the Democratic Party (and the whole US) is screwed.

Story: recently at a hotel this guy tried to mock me for masking. He was incoherent: only said "excuse me", "masks", & gibberish (maybe related to his "ginger ale" or the tobacco he spit on his chin & check-in desk). I said "you've been excused" and ignored him.
