I have officially doubled the number of people I’ve talked to over amateur radio.

I’m up to 2.

Alright, I went to Buc-ee’s, bought a shirt, ate some sandwiches, and now I will never go back.

Was not impressed by the brisket sandwich or the “Carolina pulled pork” (not from any Carolina I’ve been to). Fried chicken sandwich wasn’t bad, though.

Set up the radio in the kitchen last night so I could set the antenna up in the backyard. My wife got to finally see what ham radio is like: me listening to static while spinning a dial and going “man, I can’t hear shit”

FINALLY got my radio and antenna set up and made a 20m contact, someone doing POTA in Utah.

…did not write down the frequency so I can’t log it.

Got the results from a blood test back today and let's just say if I was a car, the check engine light would be on.

Much like my actual car.

Also, please consider donating to your local food banks. No one should go hungry, especially through the holidays. Help where you can.

Someone out there just finished explaining the AWS outage to upper management and now has to deal with explaining this and is strongly considering running away and living in a yurt in the woods, away from all technology.

Lost a fight with a carving knife, joining the 8” chef knife and a 1.5” leatherman multitool in the competition for which knife has drawn the most blood.

Chef knife sent me to the ER, though.

Oh look at that I put a cheap 2-7x scope on my 10/22 and suddenly I can see what I’m doing. 25 yards, 10 round group.

The outlier was a breathing issue.

I think I just need to get off the internet for a while. I’m just tired and depressed at this point.

Fight when you can. Support others when you can’t. Take care of yourselves, your families, and your neighbors.

Three accidents and a single car slide-off in the six miles between me and daycare. Though technically one of the accidents would have been a slide-off if they hadn't hit a curb and bounced back into the road, minus an axle.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police reported a significant increase in crashes overnight, with officers responding to more than 50 crashes since midnight -- and nearly 50 schools are delayed.

Cool, so after 40 days of standing up to Republicans because they were going to strip healthcare funding, a bunch of Dems caved and we get nothing in return except a vote to strip healthcare funding?

Is Buc-ee's really that cool? I know nothing about them other than people wear their merch, which is more than 7-Eleven or Circle K can say.

We need more rural leftists to speak up more about the ecological importance of hunting. Certain species (deer, hogs) need to be culled regularly because their predators (besides us) have been cut down in number by us both intentionally and dimply by the growth of civilization
Kicked off the deer hunting season in Cannon Falls this morning.

Good luck to everyone sharing in this time-honored Minnesota tradition!

If there's one things Fishers/Castleton needs, it's more road construction.
96th Street will close near the Nickel Plate Trail to finish work on the bridge that will connect the trail system from Fishers to Indianapolis. The closure is expected to last one week, weather permitting.

At this rate, we’re going to have the safest airspace operations because there will be no planes in the air.
The FAA said it's an effort to maintain safe airspace operations as the federal government shutdown continues. This comes as air traffic control, TSA and airlines beg for the shutdown to end.

I didn’t think it would work but surprisingly you can (sort of) mount pic rail accessories to a Nerf Commander. This is stupid and not helpful and now i want to buy an Amazon-tier reflex sight for it.
