This isn't the ST: Enterprise plasma pistol. The free files for it are unusable. So I printed the ST: Strange New Worlds Phaser II instead. It has a detachable Phaser I and is my favorite so far. Thanks, Mr. Scott. Ignore how dusty my desk is. #3Dprinting @bambulabglobal.bsky.social #startrek

This is a filament enclosure that is meant to keep the filament dry. Moisture is filament's worst enemy. There are even hydrometers that show the inside and outside humidity. I got reusable silica gel caps that absorb moisture. It's really neat. #3DPrinting

My next completed prop project is the Star Trek Discovery type 2 phaser. This one was a lot more difficult than the first one. Lots of parts that made it more like assembling a model kit.
One of the reasons I wanted to get a 3D printer was to print this phaser.

Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Still not 100%, but I saw a doctor yesterday and I am on antibiotics. I'm going to rest up some more today. I hope to be back full speed ahead tomorrow. I'll be taking on some missions in #NewWorldAeternum.
