Despite looking at my unpainted battleclade kill team and being a mix of overwhelmed and underwhelmed, I actually had fun painting them and I think they turned out better than I expected. #nerdlings

I really enjoyed painting this guy. Tried out the army painter metallic speed paint - Aztec Gold! I think the gold color turned out nice, but lost its shininess with the varnish.

Totally Bob Ross’d this guy… the matte varnish left this guy and friends cloudy. So I hit it with some gloss varnish, which muted the matte finish on the Xpress color paints. Love my wight king on skeletal steed!

Warp lightning cannon complete, getting some magnets. First time doing a sub assembly and gluing after painting. Was not easy, but worth it!

A pack of rat ogors. I had a great time painting these. Even with all the details these felt like a breeze to paint. Happy with how they turned out!

A squad of clan rats! Black primer, with a raw sienna drybrush. I think using raw sienna instead of a neutral grey warmed up the models. Happy with this crew!

I had a much better time painting these plague marines. I switched to a sable Tamiya brush - I feel it noticeably performed better than the synthetic brushes I had been using!

AoD Kill Team complete. I found this team very difficult to paint, so I was a little disappointed. But I am happy how the gold paint pen turned out - excited to use in the future with other models!
