Journeyman Project was one of the best and most memorable series growing up. Stellar game / puzzle design, great storytelling for its time, and one of the best time travel games out there. JP2: BIT was my fav, followed by Legacy.

Yeah I played a bunch around covid too. Made it to the center of the galaxy, took a bunch of pretty photos. Then realized that 90% of the game was basically work (grinding, jumping 500 times).

It's a really pretty wallpaper generator, I guess.

In lightly flavored things like chicken soup, etc - I think it would either get lost or wouldn't do much. It tends to work best in hearty stews, soups, or anything else with a rich body.

I tend to see it sort of like MSG. You're not really going to notice the flavor itself much,just the undertone

Depends on the dish! Like, homemade marinara sauce is fairly flavorful (onion, garlic, spices) - but the addition of 2-3 bay leaves to the sauce can really give it that "almost tastes like meat sauce" vibe, I think. Sort of like how MSG can make things taste more 'intense'.

Bay leaves (fresh ones at least, quality matters) add basically an umami background to a dish. They have a subtle, eucalyptus / mint flavor and pair very well with anything "meaty"

Lately I just go full boomer like my parents did every time I get a computer when calling into a company.

Chef John will always be king. Awesome dude, GREAT recipes (I've made countless - the American Goulash is on my regular rotation), down to earth.

I had folks try to get me to play it, and I immediately knew I would hate it the moment I heard the rules. It's like all the cutthroat BS of "Monopoly" but with more encouragement to screw over your friends.

Catan is one of the major examples of why I tend to dislike any competitive tabletop =P

People are so mixed on this, haha. I don't drink a ton of soda, but I thought this stuff was decent! It's like an arnold palmer (lemonade + iced tea) but sweeter and bubbly

I hope it isn't what me and Cray just got over. Picked up something awful in NYC, took nearly two weeks to get over it. Cough, sore throat, achey, congestion. Freaking SUCKED.

Patriotism in general is the stupidest thing ever. Cheering for a nation as if it's a team sport.

Instead imo, people should always demand more. Demand better. Nothing should be good enough. Patriotism can come when we reach an egalitarian society. Until then it serves no purpose.

Sucks that there's no way to seemingly block them either, they pop up like cockroaches. Suddenly a new 'artist' who has 5 albums, all released within 1 month of each other. Infuriating.

Really glad now that I didn't buy a Speed Queen and instead fixed up my circa ~1998 Sears Kenmore washer instead for like $75.

Bonus: The old style washer actually washes clothes and uses enough water / doesn't take 2 hours like those awful "High Efficiency" ones.
