Real as hell, I was literally thinking of this one from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night when I wrote that:
A retro achievement for Castlevania Symphony of the Night titled "Rondo of Blood Gaiden" that reads "Finish the game as Richter in one sessions defeating all the bosses and without using save points to refill your health." It's currently sitting at a 1.12% completion rate.

Gex: Enter the Gecko (Gex 2) had a generally offputting artstyle since everything was an off-brand, uncanny valley pastiche of pop culture, but those horror channel levels legit fucked 6yo me up. Cute mascot platformer my ass
A candle lit gothic castle hallway with impossibly high ceilings and a frightening alien robot thing portrait in the center. A pitch dark, multi-tiered room with sparse candles throughout, marked by a blood-splattered sign that reads "step into the light". A hospital morgue at the bottom of a steep slope with a completely blackened corner at its deepest point. The vantage point from a ledge above a grimy, industrial hospital morgue, with one of the morgue body compartment doors open and empty, surrounded by bloodied hospital gurneys.

vaporwave ass beverage
A can of soda that is allegedly "quite vaporwave". It's "Something & Nothing" brand "Cucumber Premium Soda". The can is a pure metallic off-white color and features a crisp, rectangular image with a very frutiger aero esque seafoam green and periwinkle blue color palette over which the leaf of a palm tree is superimposed. There's also a distorted afterimage of the same palm tree leaf in the background of the image.
