And as cliche as it may sound: Make sure you’re having fun with the process! Any stress or rigidity will show and make everything look stiff. (uwu) Flow with the ink and enjoy the magic of creating!

I have extremely raw yet detailed sketches, and I will often loosely color and cel shade the sketches before inking. Then, I’m rather meticulous with the lining phase. I also keep a reference up of my sketch as I ink to ensure I’m keeping the essential line weight that makes everything so dynamic!
