Vertical morality, their morals have always come from the top or their leaders. That's why they seem hypocritical all the time, they'll do the mental gymnastics to avoid that dissonance. Reminds me of this MSNBC chart about Syria after the last term:

Democratic leadership handing everything over to fascists and bowing to them be all like.

There will be at least a few graves I'd consider gender-neutral bathrooms in the future.
